San Low Seafood + Bruno

i can't believe i actually brought Z to catch Bruno and end up watching this gay fashionista dick-dancing!!!

i was warned that it's rated R21 when i was finding out the timings of the show, none of the cinemas were showing the show in any of the neighborhood theaters. i didn't watch the previous Borat nor Ali G but i had good reviews from my friends that they were hella funny. having read the synopsis on the Cathay website and my first time catching a R21 show, i assumed i'd see probably breasts and butts only...

BUT the prick-dance really caught me off-guard! i was like damn paiseh 'cos it was my idea to watch it. Z was pinching me asking why i ask him to watch such shows!!! i was like, shit i'm totally unaware, the synopsis wasn't clear at all. i squished my eyes until the dance was over while the rest of the people in the cinema were laughing hysterically. then i caught Z staring at me again. zzz

a waste of money and time. the whole movie's about various displays of gay-tions by Borat and his assistant. real people, including a politician, Paula Abdul and many more getting punked. and even a swingers' party. so basically the show maxed out my tolerance on explication. brrrrrr... after the movie last Sunday, i did a search on Sacha Baron Cohen, who plays Bruno in the movie. thank god he's not gay and is engaged so with that, i really admire Sacha. he's a talent.

our San Low Seafood dinner was not exactly perfect but good. we ordered:
1. the infamous San Low beehoon
2. fried 'til super crispy baby squids,
3. asam stingray,
4. black pepper crab,
5. kangkong,
6. wheat crayfish,
7. butter crayfish,
8. dried chilli sotong,

all of the above for less than SGD100, eaten by 4 of us. woohoo!

ok that's all :D
