these are all so overdue
so what have i been doing these 9 months? using my very last post as a reference, i'll chop chop and turn back time starting from late November and thereafter.

Z looks funny lol.
The Villa Bali, Balinese Chill Out Bar
9 Lock Road Gillman Village
it's an idyllic restro-bar, amidst the abundant shrubbery and willowy trees. there are rustic, Balinese-style wooden pavilions with bale rooftops, which i clambered into. delectable foods, exotic ambience. it wasn't noisy though it was pretty crowded or perhaps it was bcos we were given the pavilion in the corner. i enjoyed the dinner, it was perfect. lemming for the tomyum soup!!! the staffs of VB are friendly and they actually observe us from time to time from afar, making sure we have finished before serving the next course. i wouldn't say it's cheap for the package which is a few hundred dollars. it was more of an experience and i appreciate it 'cos we've been talking about going Bali together but well, i was quite restrained so he took me to VB.
however i wish we can really go to Bali together. perhaps in another year.
Christmas dinner at Michaela's place, at the same time we had our branch meeting. her place is a glasshouse. her parents bought 2 terrace houses, demolished both, and some designer to design and rebuilt from scratch. the basement was built to house 4 BMWs -_- i saw it!!! the pool is damn cute too. yes a very lucky girl from a very rich family. i remember she had a little dent on her 3months-old Mini Cooper and a week later, she was seen driving a BMW Series 1 Convertible *SCREAMS* her dad says it's unlucky if she were to continue driving the accident-ed Cooper. the rooftop even more power, she's always holding parties there. she has her own ballet-dancing room too. so power.
Outback Steakhouse:
loveeeee the Bushman 'Shrooms!!! i've tried Manhattan Fish Market's but they were a far cry. went Outback with WS and Biii. i had Fish 'N Chips. call me boring, but i just had to try 'cos i love Fish 'N Chips so i try it everywhere that has it on the menu and it is by far the best i've eaten, 'cos of the batter used and fat fries. if you like Fish 'N Chips a little more traditional, the thin breaded type but yummy and big portioned, try the one at AMK Central kopitiam which is one-third the cost of Outback's lol. i'm not very sure what's the block no. exactly but will check it out. in fact, AMK alot of other nice foods too. i wonder why CCK area always so mediocre. Yewtee is even more ulu. Koufu Admiralty is so much better than Koufu Yewtee!!! all the yummy charkwayteow, hokkienmee, springchicken etc., all don't have. lousy lousy. the best that Yew Tee Point have done would be the fastfood joints. Subway, Burger King ya Lot1 doesn't have that lol, KFC, Long John Silvers. BUT I WOULD LIKE TO HAVE MOS BURGER. i loveeeee Japanese food. i think the rice is the culprit leh, Japanese pearl rice, fat and chewy. oh speaking of which have you eaten warm sushi? it sucks real bad. i had them at Ichiban Jurong Point. it was very crowded but that doesn't mean the chef cooks rice at the very last minute the last batch of rice finishes right? GEE. damn awful, and the staff/s forget our orders like repeatedly. Causeway Point Ichiban is the best in my opinion, generous toppings, chilly rice, speedy service. AMK Hub branch also not as good, though the ambience not bad :)
New Year's Eve:
venturing into 2009, Z suggested going to Waterfront to catch the fireworks. spacious, free seating, clear view of the fireworks. so much fun better than squeezing with young stereotypes in Orchard, Marina, Esplanade. not forgetting the ahnehs.
went to Sentosa Flowers 2009. nth amazing, the flowers are already wilting due to the weather. even for me who doesn't pespire alot, am alr pespiring profusely. can u imagine how Z is doing? his shirt is all wet! lousy lousy. we proceed to Underwater World to get the shock of our lives. $40++ per entry. Z was quite keen 'cos he love fishes. he used to to rear Stingrays and alot more other exotic fishes. but i said no. totally not worth it. leave those to the tourists man!!! we left Sentosa in 2hours... i miss Fantasy Island so much! wonder Wild Wild Wet fun anot... but before that Z and i need to work on our flabby stomachs first lol if not we'll scare children away wahahahahaha!!!
Chompang Nasi Lemak:
the real Chompang Nasi Lemak is not in Chompang Market itself!!! in fact it's opposite, across the stretch of shophouses beside the army! far right corner. delicious!!!
can't remember any major events. not even my organiser.
mini gathering with colleagues at Trader's Hotel for buffet. nothing fantastic even when paying $40+ per person after discount. ridiculous.
my organiser did not state any events either. was busy working, doing OT for some pre-audit stuff.
365days spent together with Z. he brought me to Sakura for buffet at Jurong Sports Complex. i loveeeee the laksa aiyo! i baked 15 symbolic cupcakes for him. i rebonded my hair a week after, waves in my hair are just gross. had Kuishinbo with his family at Jurong Point. we were there for lunch so we missed the crab legs!!!!!!!!! on the last week of May, boss treated the whole branch to a super atas Japanese restaurant at Orchard Parade Hotel. the week also marked my last at OCBC. there were just too many negative pointers that persuaded me to leave and take a long break, having spent 2 and a half years there.
and yes i left the doggone place and i've never felt better. i thank all my close friends, my mum, and Z for their support in having the guts to make this decision. i believe more or less people would say i'm stupid to quit my job during such economy lowdowns but i beg to differ.
June was more of a month to tell myself that i no longer hold a job, it's time to let my hair down and rest to my heart's content. no alarm clocks ringing in the morning, no uniform, no heels, no more stupid customers, no more acting like a bell-girl, nobody will tell me what to do now. i am ME, i can do whatever i want. i am so happy that i've more time to spend with Z, we get to meet at least once every week, compared to once every fortnight.
Z took me to Blk 147 Serangoon for chicken rice. told hq about it thought near his place haha. Z love their white chicken! it's the best i've tried, followed by the one at Bukit Gombak. so yummy! no, it's cheap and yummy!
i also went to Malaysia with Z and his colleagues for the first time. Z was saying he bring me gaigai, gai til out of sg lol. the whole day i whack food only. dimsum, herbal duck which i heard of herbal chicken only but really is duck and seafood at night. i had indigestion after the truckful of food lol jialat. reach home at 1am unload the truck only. lololol.
Z's birthday month. got him a Braun Buffel card holder and keychain. reserved a table at Ellenborough Cafe @ Swissotel during the weekend but he was recalled for work. brrrrrr... the annual Crab Buffet was going on.. so upset i couldn't go!!! maybe next year lor.
and July was also about me failing my Basic Theory!!! deep impact for me 'cos ever since Poly ended i haven't had any tests at all. first test after 3years alr fail liao. Biii and Z was encouraging me and stuff, say can retake...
thanks to Z's massive grueling and coaching sessions, i passed my BTT just earlier this week! was so happy! i am like the last to leave the classroom. phobia of failing again. Bt Batok Driving Centre really quite far from Bt Gombak MRT Station. perspired quite badly. i think the distance travelled got 3 bus stops lor.
after the test i went Jessie's for a trim and dye. i dyed matt green. hq say i 妖怪 zzz. now it looks quite dark-looking, almost black. have to wait for a few more washes. my bleached highlights had a hard time taking cover. i guess they will recover their brights in no time lol probably by next week.
oh after my hair session, i went over to Buckaroo's with Biii and ws to celebrate ws's belated birthday. we got him a Nike basketball and he was wearing the shirt we got him for his birthday last year lol so cute. Z dropped by later after his dinner at home. we chatted and had some beer. Z lompanged the both of them home which i really appreciate :) 'cos Buckaroo's quite hidden amongst the terrace houses in Sembawang. we took a cab there from Woodlands. the taxi uncle act zai one lor. Biii told him we're heading to Andrews Road. he didn't respond and then he HOLLAND lor damn irritating. we were busy laughing suddenly the uncle slowed down which we then realised he travelled all the way to Chompang before showing some response. i was quite mad i asked him Uncle you know the way anot?
he then decide to stutter and said Not sure.
NOT SURE THEN ASK US TO GUIDE YOU MA!!!
AIYO shake head. so i told him Ok Uncle you travel towards Sembawang Park can liao. Ok anot?
Ok.
... KUKU!!!
:X
ok what a nice way to end my updates lol.
impromptu, Z's going to bring mum, jake and me to JB for seafood tomorrow. yahooooo! 2nd time going! cheap and sumptuous crayfish, lala, stingray, and the must-try beehoon!!! all at SAN LOU RESTAURANT in JB. at the same time must also thank Z's daddy in allowing him to borrow the family car hehe.
alot of singaporeans go there, i saw alot of sg car plates and some super haolian lidat lor 'cos drive Japan and other countries' cars ma not like Proton (but Proton also not bad hor now the Gen 2 quite sporty but not my type). especially the WRX-wannabes (which is Subaru TS infact) keep throttling beside the restaurant? i used to have my own real Subaru WRX in my family ok? and it seems that i look down on such ppl :x TS then TS la what for you modify until like WRX. the LancerEX 9 also, wanna act Evolution 9. LancerEX 10 wanna act Evo 10. not forgetting the Honda Civic. wanna act Civic Type R. i think the non-JDM CTR which is hatched-back looks cooler.
... i also don't know why i nag so much LOL but i can tell you my car would be either the Tuscani or the Honda Integra Type R. and must implement Carbon Fibre on them hehe. and as i was typing, there's this car with very loud exhaust driving past. i live on the 11th floor but still super loud.
i despise such type of drivers more.
if your car is fast (as in performance-wise) and exhaust is loud, nvm. but if your car is slow(you accelerate til heh-heh-chuan also lidat) with deafening exhaust, you suck!!! noise pollution only.
not happy then challenge the black EG you see on the road with 300 horsepower. but make sure you have what it takes don't always think small car good to bully. if everytime Gear 1 tia you away already also very sian. waste petrol only :x
alot of 手下败了 ok byebye lol.
