i bleached my eyebrows on my own!!! been told by many that i'm crazy 'cos of this. got it done via this er facial hair creme bleach from the local drugstore for less than $10. can last me many times. if i had gone to Browhaus, it'd cost me about $30. must touch-up at least once a month too. bo hua. tweaked only into 1 shade lighter - dark brown. otherwise i'd scream "MONA LISA!!!" if you've not realized, Leonardo da Vinci forgot to draw eyebrows on Mona lol. can say byebye to eyebrow mascara already.
heard of the famous yam+pumpkin flaky mooncakes from Crown Prince Hotel? i've been lemming for them for years ever since CPH tore down :x (wth i still remember my sec sch Prom was held there. it sucked. ok, doesn't matter) after some no-sweat research, i found out the chef's now with Peony Jade! so now, let me tell you about my mooncake expedition on Thursday.
OCBC has this yearly mooncakes fair whereby all staffs are entitled to discounts to "branded" mooncakes. just to name a few: Goodwood Park, Ritz Carlton, Raffles, Shangri-La, Fairmont, Meritus Mandarin. when i saw Peony Jade on the list with 15% i made a dash to OCBC Centre branch at Chulia St, Raffles Place. i reached the building at about 1pm? most of them were staring at me
oh ya, i was on the MRT there then this ahpek sat beside me. nothing wrong right? then this look-educated indian sat inbetween ahpek and me. GOT WRONG ANOT? WTF. ahpek and my seat = 2 seats right. end up 2-seater become 3-seater -_- i look at ahpek and i 'eh?' quite loudly, ahpek look at me and nod lol quite funny come to think of it. the newer MRTs have seats that are more spacious but aiyo he really damn kuku, never realise. i wanted to embarrass him, he's lucky 小姐心情好 lor and 'cos i was alighting in another 2 stops.
first thing that i wanted to do is to head to Topshop at Wisma. omg under renovation and is taken over by Nike. 我的天. ok maybe Topshop shifting to ION? i dunno. so i walked over to Taka.
people-mountain-people-sea i tell you, despite a weekday. wait, i have to mention i awfully hate ppl who bang into my Gucci!!! i found Peony Jade's booth and collected the mooncakes first. then i saw Goodwood Park's. damn crowded, the snowskins all in-stock man! told the IC my order then was told only Goodwood Park Hotel's booth allow their snowskins to be sold singly so i took bus over to the hotel. while i was walking over the Peony Jade paper bag tore big big ... bo bian thickened my skin and asked for a carrier from Guardian :x
when i reached the booth outside hotel there was no crowd !? so i went in and asked whether all stocks are available first. they gave me a you-look-like-madwoman look wtf man. they asked me what are the flavours i wanted. and guess what? they gave me that look again saying ALL SNOWSKINS OOS. HELLO!? there wasn't any notice on the standee outside the booth to inform about the OOS lor. i was like omg i just came from Taka nvm thanks. then they gave me the omg-i'm-so-sorry look and apologised. i was quite pissed la seriously. bad customer service somemore from a hotel with class! brrrr. i walked back to Taka. i don't understand why i was so persistent that day leh die die want to get the mooncakes. went back to screw the IC who told me to go to the hotel directly. jk i told him about the OOS he apologised also. i ordered the 4-piece assorted snowskins set (i think the flavours suck. waste of money) and 2 pieces of D24 durian snowskins. hopefully jake appreciates what this sister does la always buy his favourite foods and stuff for him :(
my best buy would be this Peony Jade mooncakes. sexy hor. can put into oven to regain the crispiness. was told mostly Teochews and Hokkiens like this kind of mooncakes and i'm a Hokkien myself. oh did i mention i bought 4 with yolks and 4 without? i went to my grandma's after that to pass them half of what i bought altogether. my total damage was 'bout $150 on mooncakes this year. grandma kept scolding me saying it's a waste of money. last time she so sayang me now that i'm starting to earn my own money already, it's only right that i return favours i think. she may be naggy and all but she's my second best :)
accompanied mummy to City Plaza on Friday. abit ulu. have to walk from Paya Lebar station but nvm 'cos i bought a new sundress. happy. we had Arnold's Chicken for lunch. i think it's better than KFC. the one and only outlet in Singapore, established more than 20 years ago ok!
and my Bangkok trip got postponed to 2 weeks later in case you're wondering why i'm here posting. riots, the spoiler. safety first.
