bkk, d&d, bday.

i realised i haven't updated 'bout my Bangkok trip at all. i didn't take any pictures 'cos i was too busy shopping with too little time! it was a 4D3N trip with 4 participants: mum, 舅舅, jake and me.
Day 1
we took Thai Airways. when we reach Bangkok it was already evening over there. Bkk's a GMT+7. our 8pm in SG is equivalent to Bkk's 7pm. ALL shopping centres start closing as early as 7. we checked in at Grand Diamond Hotel which is 'bout 30mins ride from Suvarnabhumi Airport. the airport's built in 2007 quite chio but abit over-spacious -_-" the cabs there are even prettier than the local cars. they come in colors like skyblue, hotpink, yellow, applegreen with big exhausts and exaggerating spoilers. quite funny and the fares are damn cheap!!! like 4x cheaper than Singapore's and you can stop anywhere you want lol. the roads are always fully packed with cars all the time 'cos cars in Thailand are damn cheap as well! road safety there i think fail lor i almost freaked out when i wanted to cross the Zebra and none of the cars refused to stop!!!! so what's the use of the Zebra la! the pavements are all bumpy and there're lots of pitholes, even outside classy shopping centres like Central World Plaza. and longkang smell!!!! i tell you, you can still smell it when you're 3km away. that's how 'tok-gong' it is. Singapore more zai aiyo but well i'm there for cheap shopping so i beared with it lol. we walked around the night markets near our hotel for awhile. i screamed when i saw Donut Factory lol. and headed back to hotel. called Room Service for dinner, watched movies on HBO and slept.
Day 2
breakfast at the hotel. had Croissants and milk. we went to Chaopraya River? forgot the name lol the river which holds water markets. we went to a part of the river where all tourists on the boat bought bread and fed the fishes. the fishes are super strong they fight each other to eat bread lol, there were so many of them and i got splashed wet. tamjia :x it was already 2 when we were back on land. uncle and jake headed back to the hotel while mum and me started our shopping spree at Platinum Mall. it's just beside our hotel super convenient. in the night we cabbed to Chinatown for Shark's Fin and Bird's Nest. the fin damn shiok. one full serving in piping hot claypot. the nest was so-so. again, it's damn cheap. 4 fins, 2 nests for less than SGD85.

Day 3
had Croissants and milk for breakfast again and headed to Platinum Mall. oh did i mention their KFC is super yummy!!! no bloody veins and stuff on the meat. very smooth and juicy. i missed the A&W!!! we had Swensons cone icecream. 2 cones at less than SGD3.50 .... where to find you tell me !!! we cabbed to MBK. alot of leather goods. not much clothings. jake got himself a pair of Nike. alot of high quality imitation wallets and bags but i didn't get any 'cos it's NOT CHEAP. super expensive. would you pay SGD200 for a fake Gucci wallet?! wtf. or SGD100 for a fake TODS tote. NO and NO -_- i'll save further to get the authentic Gucci lanyard and wallet at the flagship store. Dinner was at COCA Restaurant. at less than SGD15 per person. the tomyum 是赞的 lor. i went back to the hotel, bathed, and KO-ed in less than a minute lol.
Day 4
again, croissants and milk for breakfast. i love croissants!!! but i think Delifrance's tastier. packed and headed to the airport. reached SG late noon. i want to go Bangkok again next year!!! i'll make sure i lug home a luggage of stuff. unlike this trip, whereby i regretted not buying alot of stuffs :( i only bought 6 pieces! so 'sayang'.
D&D's theme on Oct 3 was Back to School, held at Suntec City. the uniforms were customised by my boss. we didn't win Best Dressed Table lol. the dishes were not bad. the dessert was Honeydew Sago, my favourite :D i cabbed home after that 'cos nobody fetch me home :( bf was on duty.
Service Night is this friday and i haven't thought of how i should dress up leh. Theme is Retro. previously was in April and the theme was Kampung remember!?
:D happy happy day for ada! the party's held at some countryclub in Bukit Gombak. she looked like a doll with her curls that day lol so cute. all of our clique were present except biii :( ada's cake is made of agar agar, served with chinchow and longan.
and roy was so sweet to help ada keep her heels into a box and to carry all the presents! way to go la :X
